EXTRATERRESTRIALISM - FIREBIRD

So after some thought I've decided to go with EXTRATERRESTRIALISM - FIREBIRD for the next project brief. After doing some research and watching the Royal Ballet performance of Firebird I've come to the conclusion some updating is in order as far as Theatrical Ballet is concerned :)

Over all I feel Theatre as traditional as it is, it's still very muted in its overall visual look and even style. I want to see something overly extravagant, I'm not looking to turn it into some Hollywood flashy blockbuster movie, but the thought of investigating light and how light enhances, reflects and highlights elements of the stage and its performance will hopefully be the key in developing the design.

Now to look at researching inspiration for the other worldly sets, prop and characters with their costume. The one thing I did like about Firebird as opposed to the other tittle choices is that the production is quite mixed in that it's a silent Theatre production with elements of Ballet and a good use of set and props to tell the tale under the score of Igor Stravinsky's orchestra.
